Looking at the two illustrations they both appear effectively the same - the one with the red circle was the one that I opened and then would only scroll along the functions on the top bar - the one with the incomplete text box and message is the one that I had re opened after the PC had been in sleep mode and to my amazement it worked exactly as dalchina said - apart from the scroll wheel on the Mouse - which does not move it sideways. I have tried very unsuccesfully to illustrate what happened - please ignore the poor editing with PAINT - I need a tutorial - but that is another story!
